As I promised I am finally getting back to you to let you know how our holiday to China went. One word describes it FANTASTIC.
There was only 4 of us until we arrived in Xian, where 2 more people joined us.
We had a great time. We would not have had such a good time if we didn’t have such good tour leaders who told us what time the bus was picking us up, where we were going, which toilets to use, knew where lunch was, got our tickets etc etc. The tour guides arranged wheat free meals for me which was fabulous.
Of course everything had changed since my last visit to China. My memories and the reality of 2011 are two entirely different things.
It was cold in Beijing, I had two layers of thermals on, however it wasn’t unpleasant. The only place where I felt very very cold was climbing the Great Wall of China where my fingers got very very cold. I had on leather gloves.
We enjoyed ourselves enormously. It wasn’t until we arrived back in our business that I reliased I hadn’t had to think of what to do, where to go or make any decisions. The tour guides did all that.That was really refreshing as I have to think and make a lot of decisions for our businesses.
We are looking forward to another opportunity in which to visit different parts of China.
