Day 1 - Arrive Beijing

On arrival into Beijing and after completing any necessary Customs and Immigration formalities you will be met by your friendly China Holidays guide who will transfer you to your hotel where you will spend three nights.

Day 2 - Beijing
Today, the highlight for many visitors to Beijing, a visit to the Great Wall at Badaling. This is undoubtedly one of the greatest man-made wonders of the world and there will be time for you to take in this architectural wonder. In the afternoon there will be the Silk Market where negotiation skills are put to the test as you seek out some of the many bargains before returning to Beijing where there will be time to freshen up before departing for a 'Legends of Kung Fu' performance. Day 3 - Beijing
Today you will be at leisure. (B)

Day 4 - Beijing / Xi'an

Today you will enjoy the city tour at your own pace. And tonight you will be transferred to Beijing railway station for your onward night train to Xi'an. (B)

Day 5 - Xi'an
On arrival this morning, your China Holidays guide will be waiting to take you to breakfast before heading out to your hotel where you will spend two nights. (B)

Day 6 - Xi'an
Today you will depart for the Terracotta Warriors Museum, one of China's top historical sites. Here you will see the magnificent Terracotta Army of Emperor Qin Shi Huang which has been painstakingly restored by archaeologists. On returning to your hotel there will be some free time. In the evening you will get the opportunity to sample a Chinese dumpling banquet and a performance of a Tang Dynasty Cultural Show. (B/L/D)

Day 7 - Xi'an / Guilin

After breakfast at your hotel you will have some free time before being transferred to the airport for your onward flight to Guilin. On arrival into Guilin your local China Holidays guide will be waiting for you and you will depart to visit the Reed Flute Cave before arriving at your hotel where you will stay overnight. (B/L/D)

Day 8 - Guilin / Yangshuo

This morning you depart for a leisurely cruise along the Li River from Guilin to Yangshuo. There will be plenty of time to sit back, relax and enjoy the views of the local people working on the river as well as the spectacular rock formations and picturesque landscapes. On arrival in Yangshuo your friendly China Holidays guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel where you will stay overnight. There will be some free time this afternoon for you to wander amongst the many market stalls and shops in Yangshuo. (B/L/D)

Day 9 - Yangshuo / Guilin / Shanghai

You will return to Guilin today by road and pay a visit to the Elephant Trunk Hill before departing for the airport and your onward flight to Shanghai. On arrival your friendly China Holidays guide will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel where you will spend two nights. (B/L)

Day 10 - Shanghai
After breakfast at your hotel you will depart for a full day tour of Shanghai. Your day will include a visit to the traditional Yu Gardens; the Old Chinatown with its twisting alleyways and many shops and hawkers and of course the Bund. Then over to Pudong to visit the Jin Mao Tower, still one of the world's tallest buildings where from the observation deck you will get a remarkable panoramic view of the city. In the evening enjoy a visit to an acrobatics show. (B/L/D)

Day 11 - Depart Shanghai
Today you farewell Shanghai and China as your guide meets you and transfers you to the airport for your onward flight. (B)
